It is always challenging starting something new in the community and indeed surely, Mother of Hope Foundation Uganda's establishment in Nyamwamba Division, Kasese Municipality was another key milestone achieved with about 150 community members turning up to welcome the organization in its areas in a unique style by collecting plastic bottles and polythene bags in the community.

Community members play a vital role in sustainable operations of organization activities in all aspects. The involvement of community members in waste management campaign was an eye opener that the organization is committed to ensuring a clean environment of the people having known that the community and the municipality at large are still facing waste management and environmental related challenges

Being a community-led organization, we ensure that the local authority and the members of the community are at the fore-front of our movement to enable us understand the challenges being faced and agreeing to customized community solutions that can easily be adopted and supported by community members which offers sustainability and acceptance in the long run.
