COMMUNITY EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP FUND PROGRAM (CESFP)

Due to flood occurrences of River Nyamwmamba and other associated community challenges in Kasese District and particularly Nyamwamba Division has increased the level of illiteracy in the adjust communities of the river. Mother of Hope Foundation Uganda has made efforts to make a deep study into how the people in Nyamwamba communities are staying and their perception towards education and probably what is causing high rate of school dropouts. Some of the findings by MOHFU were majorly caused the flooding of River Nyamwamba that has caused displacement of very many people making it hard for them to pay education for the children, then also other findings were domestic violence in some homes which has forced most children to become drug addicts, doing sand mining in the river, prostitution that has also resulted into early pregnancies attributing to high mortality rate during birth. Mother of Hope Foundation Uganda through the efforts of the community has embarked on the program of soliciting for support to champion education in Nyamwamba Division through awarding scholarships to the vulnerable but academically bright learners in a way to restore the path of education in this community

    CARPENTRY/WOODWORK TECHNOLOGY PROJECT

Mother of Hope Foundation Uganda is located operating in Nyamwamba Division, an area where most people have been affected by floods from River Nyamwamba that has kept most young boys and girls leave school prematurely leading them to be agents of drug abuse, victims of domestic violence, victims of early pregnancies as well as victims of HIV. Mother of Hope Foundation Uganda intervenes to ensure that children in this community find relevance and hopeful for their future by skilling them in woodwork technology skills. The project is currently training a number of affected vulnerable children for a period of one year from the community to ensure they secure their future through woodwork technology skills. Our woodwork skilling project is a hands on for every vulnerable child admitted which is totally free of charge however the learners train alongside production as one way of gaining confidence and solving community furniture challenges. The organization ensures the integration of the evolving technology in carpentry and ensuring production of quality products for the community members that would be meaningful and sustainable to the community in terms of revenue

    COMMUNITY SOCIAL EMPOWERMENT PROJECT

Mother of Hope Foundation Uganda is passionate about seeing a community that is socially empowered. Forming Mother of Hope Community Group (MOHCOG) on 30th June 2023 was another milestone as an organization to help us understand the challenges in the community as well as finding the solutions together with them as one way of sustainability. The project currently accommodates about 200 members who are involving themselves in a number of activities that will keep themselves together in terms of happiness and sorrows and also helping others that haven't joined the group in many other ways. They conduct monthly meetings, operate savings, buy shares, contribute social welfare and loaning of shares at a very low interest rate of 3% and this has also given opportunity to the local authority who are also members of the group to pass communication to the community people.
