Mother of Hope Foundation Uganda in partnership with the Climate Touch Network mobilized educational materials and some part of school going children in Kasese that were affected by floods from River Nyamwamba.

In early September, heavy rainfall in Kasese Municipality triggered devastating floods, affecting at least thirteen villages in Nyamwamba Division. Over 1,000 households were impacted by flash floods, with more than 250 homes submerged. This called for urgent intervention to ensure that school going children are intended to and also some homes in critical situation be given relief to restore their hopes and putting mechanisms of education as well creating awareness about the climate changes in the areas of Rwenzori sub-region.

However, more support is still needed and we call upon well wishers, organizations to come work together with us to ensure the continuity of education of the flood victims
